Effect of stress on convergence insufficiency symptom score (CISS) among optometrists and optometry students

Background: This study aimed to measure stress levels and assess its effect on clinical symptoms related non‑strabismic binocular vision disorders among optometrists optometry students in India. Material methods: the of convergence insufficiency symptom score (CISS) aged 18 30 years. An ocular screening 50 subjects was done. A CISS survey administered, followed by objective assessment various components vision. Finally, were asked fill out Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10) questionnaire. Results: The mean age participants 22.58 (±1.20) years (range = 18–30 years). Pearson’s correlation between near point (NPC) showed a negative relationship –0.010 (p 0.948), that is, there’s no linear two variables. NPC, when correlated with K10 scale, (–0.145, p 0.233).
